6. Affiliate Disclosure

eScooterHaven participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means that when you click a link to a product or service on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. We also maintain affiliate relationships with other retailers including REI, Best Buy, and select e-scooter manufacturers.

Our editorial integrity is not for sale. Affiliate commissions do not influence which products we recommend. We only recommend products we have tested or would genuinely recommend to a friend. If we don't like a product, we say so — regardless of whether it has an affiliate program. We clearly disclose affiliate links where required by FTC guidelines.

7. Data Retention

We retain email newsletter subscriber data for as long as you remain subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, and your email will be removed from our list within 48 hours.

Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months to allow us to follow up on inquiries and improve our support. After 12 months, messages are deleted.

Analytics data is retained for 26 months as configured in Google Analytics, after which it is automatically deleted.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — you can request that we correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure — you can request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Right to object — you can object to us processing your data for certain purposes

9. Children's Privacy

eScooterHaven is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Our website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmission. However, no internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmitted to or from our site.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
